Al brings a broad understanding of lighting solutions and technology to the North Texas marketplace, obtained by serving over two decades in executive-level sales, product development, and marketing leadership roles with various manufacturers, including two of the industry’s largest lighting companies and a Global 500 consumer electronics company. Over the years, he has written editorials for LD + A, LEDs Magazine, and several other industry publications.
Al is a passionate advocate for the use of solid-state lighting technology and controls to achieve substantial energy savings without sacrificing the quality of light within the architectural environment. Al’s experience developing lighting products from concept to reality gives him a solid understanding of the design process and enables him to provide unique insights into how lighting products can be applied for optimal effect.
Al is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech), where he obtained a B.S. in Industrial Management.
Executive Vice President & COO
Mike Virag is a cutting edge, progressive and imaginative lighting industry executive joining us as Vice President & General Manager of Operations.
After graduating from Penn State, Mike began his career in various sales and marketing roles establishing a keen knowledge of the needs of the customer. From selling lights out of a van to leading an international team of sales managers and factory agents, he has developed a solid, customer focused foundation.
Mike is credited with launching some of the industry’s first LED products with Acuity Brands Lighting. This experience ignited a passion around technology’s impact on our industry. Feeding that passion, Mike focused on lighting technology start-ups including his own design firm, Redwood Systems, Lighting Science and most recently, Soraa.
Vice President & GM – South Texas
John is joining us as Vice President and General Manager for our Austin, TX office.
John brings 25 years of commercial, industrial and residential lighting experience to the Austin marketplace. John has held leadership roles in product management, marketing and sales for various manufacturers including Acuity Lighting, Cooper Lighting, and Cree Lighting. Over the years, John has authored press releases and articles for ED+C (Environmental Design + Construction) and other industry publications.
Since introducing the industry’s first viable LED solution for general illumination, John has devoted the last nine years of his professional career to accelerating mass adoption of solid state lighting.
John graduated from University of Tennessee, with honors and obtained a B.S. in Business Administration. John enjoys Formula One and NASCAR events and plays golf for recreation.
Vice President & GM – Business Development
Mark Bromley was recently an equity partner and the President and CEO of Spring Lighting Group in Houston and formerly the general manager/principal of an Eaton/Cooper Lighting agency in Ohio. He is a strategic and out-of-the box thinking business executive with twenty-five years of leadership experience in electrical, wholesale distribution, manufacturing and retail operations. Mark has served in leadership roles at some of the world’s most respected corporations and market leaders in these industries.
As a business leader, Mark is a practitioner and strong advocate of open-book management and the principles of Integrity Selling and Integrity Coaching. He believes the best way to operate a business is to create an environment where emmployees are empowered to think, act and feel like owners.
Mark is truly passionate about people. His philanthropy started over a decade ago through his affiliation with the Freedom Alliance Scholarship Fund, which honors Americans in our Armed Forces who have sacrificed life or limb defending our country by providing educational scholarships for their children. Since then, Mark has contributed time and money supporting threatening medical conditions. Ronald McDonald House and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital are organizations near and dear to his heart.
A native of Glens Falls, New York, Mark graduated from Siena College with a B.S. in Finance. He and his teenage son live in Frisco with his son’s Chihuahua Pablo. They are big fans of the Dallas Stars NHL hockey team.
Vice President & GM – Quotations
Paul has fifteen years of experience in management, eleven of those years have been in the Lighting Industry. Paul strives to promote education and service in the industry as a certified ACES instructor that allows him to present accredited AIA training courses. He has strong industry background in contractor and distributor sales, applications, quotations, specification sales and manufacturer relations.
Paul is a graduate of Texas Tech University and a Veteran of the United States Coast Guard. He has developed and learned management skills working as a Federal Law Enforcement Officer, an Educator in the public-school system, and Principal Partner of Team Regional Lighting Sales.
Paul and his wife Megan have three children. Paul enjoys golfing, his three dogs, and supporting his Texas Tech Red Raiders.
Vice President & GM – Controls
With over twenty years of experience in controls, Grant leads the controls initiative across all Hossley territories. He believes efficiency and communication are the keys to a successful team, and he encourages and demonstrates collaboration with all departments within Hossley Lighting Associates. Grant feels that his most important job is to provide his team with the tools to succeed and help them reach their goals. With his experience and passion for lighting controls, Grant strives to make Hossley’s Controls Department an exceptional added value for all customers.
Grant is a graduate of the University of North Texas. He and his wife spend most of their free time with their busy teenage daughter and son.
Vice President – Inside Sales & Administration
Renee Henvey has a combined 25 years of lighting experience at the electrical distributor and lighting representative level. She has spent the past 7 years managing the Hossley Lighting Associates Inside Sales team.
Renee believes being proactive, obtaining current product knowledge, and building a relationship with the customer is the key to a successful Project Management / Inside Sales team. The team’s goal is to provide the highest level of service by exceeding the customer’s expectation from a simple fixture inquiry to the most complex lighting project.
Renee and her husband spend most of their time keeping up with their two active boys.
